1. When is the best time to move?
Best Month of the Year: Mid-September through April
If you define “best” by cost then, generally speaking, you are more likely to save on a move during the late September to April window. Demand for movers usually slows down during this time frame and rates are low.
2. How long does it take to move?
While the actual amount of time it takes to move can vary greatly from the move to move, professional movers provide these general timelines based on the size of an apartment: Studio or one-bedroom moves take about 2-3 hours. Two-bedroom moves take about 3-5 hours. Three to four-bedroom moves take up to 7 hours. Always depends on the distance.
3. How is the cost of my move determined?
How are moving costs calculated? The cost of interstate or long-distance move is determined by the weight of the shipment, the mileage between the origin and destination, and the labor costs. Calculating the cost of a local move is slightly different. Interstate moves are based on a flat dollar amount per hour.
4. How and when should I pay?
We will not demand cash or any large deposit before moving you. You generally pay upon delivery.
Subject to federal law, payment in FULL of all charges is required before delivery and prior to unloading.
5. Can my possessions be stored temporarily?
YES. If you are unable to take immediate possession of your new residence or not ready to move yet, your belongings can be stored in a local warehouse for an additional charge.
